PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

SB (t1225)
BB (t7555)
UTG (t1430)
Hero (t3290)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.

Final Pot: t100

Using loose calling range it tells me not to push. Next is what would seem to me is a worse hand, more players to act, and it's saying 50/50 for a push or fold. O.K. so the stack changes are slightly different.......

The first hand is because the huge stack is in the BB. This is obvious because him calling is going to absolutely smash your $EV, due to the fact one stack is on 3BB and the other 3.5BB.. and you're sitting pretty on 8BB. It's an easy fold, one I would make every single time.

2nd one I have no idea how you've worked out 50/50, what ranges are you using here? Put it this way - BB calls about 50% here, button calls almost never, SB depends on your read, but probably let's say 17% (down to KQ).

I tried those hands and got opposite results.

ante is 25 right? Turbo or not? I tried both and they both expect ante of 25.

The UTG hand will show more hands being pushed because of the discount in equity for being the BB next hand. This is an adjustable feature.

IMO, pushing either of these hands into the big stack would be silly unless he is really tight. This is a situation where letting the shortstacks sort out the mess is going to be much more +EV than any marginal push.

Yes, there was a $25 ante. I used loose calling ranges for both hands.

I agree they aren't great pushes with those 2 little stacks and the one with gobs of chips.

Thank you Zero!! I didn't understand for what that feature was used. It's beginning to make sense!
