ughh, yea. if it didn't possibly complete a draw then no, but that 7 makes a busted flush draw less likely

i change my mind. i was thinking that pot was 10bb and not 13. I'd have to call.

given the size of the pot, i'd have to agree with jt1... would be too large for me to fold for the additional 4...

I'd probably call, mainly because it's so hard to put Villain on a hand.

I'd expect to lose while I was calling though -- to 87s or 77 or a deep slowplay (J9/33 type hands) or 96s or QJ.

Once in awhile you will see pocket 5's or A /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif, though. Against a 2/4 unknown, I think you'll see a worse hand often enough.

Edit: If the pot were heads-up on the river, I'd like my chances a little better.

Pot odds justify a call I think

You should consider waiting until the turn to raise. Your equity will change considerably for better or for worse on the turn. Overcards are getting the correct odds to call you, and they'll call you again on the turn with better odds because you probably won't be able to face them with two big bets, as the SB will probably check to you.Wait for safe card and make the CO call two big bets in a 7 1/2 bet pot getting only 3.75 to 1.

Its hands like this that a read is critical. If the player is not an idiot it's an easy fold. But against an idiot or maniac its a call. You are getting 13:1 that its an idiot or a maniac seeing how you have no read.
