One of the worst movies of all-time. It reminded me of an episode of Red Shoe Diaries, only with worse acting, interminably slower, and with not as good sex. Richard Gere is embarrassingly bad and Diane Lane just ain't good-looking enough for the role. And I missed about every 3rd word the French guy said, which was just as well.
Hard to tell what the producers were trying to determine: are women stupid, are men stupid, or are movie audiences stupid?
You won't have trouble discerning the "important" points of the plot: slow motion photography takes over.
The only saving grace is the performance of the kid, who I think also plays the youngest brother on Malcolm in the Middle.
