View Full Version : reinstalled windows and having trou;le with second monitor

Hey,

I had to reformat my HD and reinstall windows, and now I cant seem to extend my desktop across my second monitor.

I installed the video drivers from the resource disk, and I can extend the desktop background, but I can't move the mouse from one screen to the next.

Try moving the mouse off the other edges of the monitor. If one edge takes you to the other screen but it isn't the one you want, go back into Display Properties/Settings and drag the screens numbered 1 and 2 into the correct arrangement.

Right click on the desktop > Properties > Settings

You should find some check boxes ... Use this device as the primary monitor ... Extend my Windows destop onto this monitor.
