6 player tournament, now down to three. First pays 2/3 of the pool, 2nd 1/3, 3rd nothing. I have about T3000, the BB has T1200 after posting the blind, the button about 1500. Blinds are 100/200, about to double to 200/400.

I'm dealt A8o in the SB. The button folds. I put the BB all-in. Comments?

That's the right play. Even if you raise only 3x the big blind, he's basically committing all his chips if he plays.

just what i would do and this could be the last time the BB feels he can fold his blind so he's more likely to do that - from now on he's forced to play for 400, more likely all in and more likely to be busted out
