OK. The show is MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen. The episode is one where the foster kid is adopted into a family and has a beach-themed party. The scene is where the chick who gets kicked out of the VIP group is calling the foster chick's house while the girls all get ready. Before the phone call, there's a few beats of some song intro. Sounds like something silly and fun like Sugarcult or Sum 41 or some such. Please find out what the song is!

Thanks!

I was going to start my own thread for this, but I'll treat this as an official music ID challenge thread and add my own.

That beat they play for WWE wrestling game commercials and the USA RAW commercials and it sounds like some sort of hip hop Mariachi thing going on, anyone know if that's a song or just a beat made especially for wrestling.

It's actually John Cena's entrance music. It's on his CD. I think it's called "word life"

I don't know the actual reference, but based on the other responses, I'm thinking it is this. (http://rapidshare.de/files/1582530/John_Cena_feat._Trademarc_-_The_Time_Is_Now.mp3.html)

Gentlemen and gorie,

I am very disappointed nobody has solved this.

Do you need a simpler challenge to get you started?

Feedback appreciated,
El Diablo

I looked for a torrent for the show. Couldn't find one. Gave up.

Yeti,

I notice you have an *. Where did that come from? This is quite a surprise!

Thanks for your (feeble) attempt at helping.

El Diablo,

Would it not have been easier to ask me this question in AIM? In the 2001FP thread, some guy rightfully pointed out that I had posted in the wrong forum. I told him I didn't give a flying.

Your student,
Yeti

Yeti,

Thanks for the response. I believe the hierarchy of question-asking-ease in this situation went something like this:
