View Full Version : I have been auto-betting flops like this

With two opponents and me raising before the flop, in the past I've bet the flop 90% of the time. I'm starting to think that this may be a mistake. Here's an example:
Preflop: Hero is CO with K/images/graemlins/heart.gif, Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG calls, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG calls.
Flop: (6.50 SB) 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, T/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
Should I just be peeling 1 and folding the turn unimproved here? Should I be waiting for more ragged flops to bet the flop against 2 opponents?

I'd autobet this. I'm not sure if that's best or not.
I'd autobet, if bb or UTG fold I might fire again on the turn (no club or some scary str8card)

i think this hand is a bet, not all of them are, but three handed, this one is.

Ok, looks like everyone agrees on betting. What about in 1st position? Also, what are the flops I shouldn't be auto-betting? Real coordinated ones?
What if you are raised, what's the plan then?
Does it change if you have ace high instead of king?
You don't want to bet against players that will most likely raise you on that flop. Such flops are low/coordinated ones with aggressive players acting behind you.
I tend to check flops like 8910o, especially if Im first to act.

Easy bet. You easily could be ahead. You might win the pot right there. You have 2 overcards, and a backdoor straight draw. You will often buy yourself a free river if you want.

Nah, either way I'm going to peel one and fold the turn UI.

i dont like these situations but who does?
i think this is a flop autobet, and i often fire 1 more on the turn against a single opponent, and take the free card against 2.

Yeah, that's my standard play as well.
