I love people who raise preflop with hands like pocket 4s.

I'm sick and tired of this "OMG I GOT BAD BEAT, I HAD A POCKET PAIR AND ALL YOU HAD WAS OVERCARDS!"
Preflop, a pocket pair only has 2 outs to improve, overcards have 6! (This is not even taking into account straight and flush draws!) That means overcards are at least a 3:1 favorite to improve and win the hand. So stop whining morans.

You do realize that a pair does not need to improve to win - if the overcards don't improve, and that this will happen a great deal of the time, right?

Whats wrong with doing this?
Also, what is the OP talking about when he says overcards are a 3 to 1 fav?
This is a great thread.

Because if I call or re-raise your preflop raise, you have just helped build a big pot FOR ME!!!
