Villian is 32/9 over 50 or so hands so meh

Looking back at this hand there's nothing here I beat on the river and I should have folded. If the river was a non diamond (like 6 of clubs) would that turn the river fold into a river call?

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (5 handed) internettexasholdem.com (http://www.internettexasholdem.com)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, UTG calls.

Flop: (5 SB) 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls.

River: (5.50 BB) T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 7.50 BB

Cheers

I nearly slapped myself for calling that river. Time to give up for the day, since this was a loose one

You could bet/fold. He could very well be bluffing at the scare card since you checked to him....

The problem is that if your opponent is reasonable there is pretty much nothing that he could have called a turn bet with that doesn't have our hero beat on the river.

I think it's a pretty easy check/fold...what is villian calling the turn with that he doesn't beat hero by the river?

Wow, I'm dumb. Didn't realize hero was UI, somehow thought he had TPTK....

Check/fold.....

with this villain and this pot, I think so.

You must fold the river against this opponent. He at least has a pair. If I had more of a feel for his post-flop play, I might find a check-fold on the turn, but I'd probably bet the turn most of the time (like OP).

if he had TPTK, bet-call > bet-fold IMO. no fold TPTK HU on riv to a measly three flush board. gimme a 3 flush 4 card straight board, all in the 8-J range, and we can talk foldy.
