Assuming I am in a tournament where I am overmatched:
What's a good move-in strategy?
Surely there must be some hand chart you can make where for example in EP you move in only with AA to QQ, in MP you move in with any pair higher than 99, in LP you move in with any pair, etc. Of course, subject to your stack size relative to the blinds + antes. So if you have 44 in EP but have only 3 orbits of chips left, you move in whereas if say you have 44 in EP with 7 orbits of chips left you fold.
Seems to me you can construct a gameplan based on:
a) An optimal move-in or fold pre-flop strategy based on probabilities and math and stack size
b) When it's not optimal to move in but worth a call, a simple rule like don't play small suited connectors (since people who hit and are likely to pay you off will kill your draws on the flop anyhow with big bets), play smaller pairs and fold if you don't get your set, etc. should be OK.
