This may be one of those incredibly obvious hands but I am new and I'm not sure if it is obvious to me...
Live 1/2 NL - River Rock Casino ... Richmind B.C
10 Players
The table comprises of 2 or 3 regulars and at least 4 that are waiting to play the 3/6 NL; which at this casino is the $1000 Max Bet aka "Biggest Game" available. 2 of the regulars were loose and aggressive, the other 2 regulars were known around as strong players. There were around 2-3 calling stationish players, never raise with their best hands so you don't know WTF they have but if they call a big bet I am pretty sure they have something good. The rest were unknown, either because they just sat down or not played enough hands to make a guess.
In this hand I went heads-up against a new player; an older chinese gentleman (60-70) not recognizable as a regular (but I am new to NL at this casino) but looked comfortable and seemed nice. He bought in for $200 (Max buy-in) and already pulled the All-in trigger twice taking uncontested pots of around $50-$70. I think he is capable of pushing without the nuts and will test you if he believes he has you beat.
I have been tight. Every pot I've taken has been with high pairs or AK-AJ type holdings.
Preflop - Hero@BB: A/images/graemlins/heart.gifA/images/graemlins/club.gif Stack: $212
5 callers, SB raises $32, BB calls, 5 callers fold
Total Pot: $74
Flop - Heads-Up against BB
SB checks, Villian bets $30, SB raises All-in, BB calls...
Total Pot: $424
Pretty obvious? How did I do... Correct or incorrect?
