Don't miss this film if you are looking for a film that will make you think and provide entertainment. This is a re-release of Ingmar Bergman's black and white classic from 1957. The DVD version is fully restored with all the dirt removed from the film making it look like it was just released.
This film is about a search for the meaning of life. It stars Max von Sydow as the knight that returns home after a decade of battling in the Crusades during the 14th century and comes face to face with Death himself. He challenges Death to a game of chess. If he beats Death, he gets to live. That's only part of the story, so go and rent it, its a great film.
