Where do you play board games online?

I have heard of people playing board games like scrabble and monopoly online but I can't seem to find where.

I downloaded a scrabble game, but it turned out to be basically a scrabble game you play on your PC instead of your kitchen table.

I want to do this for free, if that needs to be stated.

has a wide selection and lots of players. literati=scrabble (basically)
