Fairly early in tourney and no real reads. I don't mind adding t250ish to my stack at this point in the tourney and with this hand. I've done this a few times regardless of position with 88-JJ after this kind of retarded raise. Thoughts?

SB has a huge hand here often enough. Smells like (AA/KK). But might be because I just busted out of my 27 to a guy doing this with KK.

It's early, and you have good position and no reads. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. You're not adding 250 everytime. I think whether it's ok or not, it's highly dependent on how often you think you'll be called, and by what hands.

Huh. I usually find it to be the opposite (variance?)- that it's some monkey with A6sooooted/KJ who can't figure out what else to do.
How about trying to not use the word "gay" as an insult?

It's a bit LAG but not too bad. FWIW I raise from the button with TT here anyway.

Not that there's anything wrong with that . . .

I had thought about it, the only problem is almost any reasonable raise at the $16's is getting called this early. I'm pretty sure I'm getting called if I make it t250 to go and I hate folding to a raise after a continuation bet or villian betting a two broadway flop or Axx.

The thing about making this play is it is really really obvious you do not have a premium hand.

Apathy,
Thank you. You are 100% right. And this is exactly what I was thinking in the few minutes after making this play. So, what do you do, sir? Just call and hope to hit your set or have your 1010>flop? Any other suggestions? With no reads- try to play poker at a $16 on turn and river?

I don't think this is best play. If you get called your most likley beat and at best a coinflip. Does 99 call here? You risk all your chips for 250 early in a tournament. I say re-raise but im not sure how much.
