Villian is 64/14/.67 over about 75 hands. Whats my turn play? Anyone just bet out this flop?

I can't see not betting out on the flop. If for some reason I didn't I would call the turn, hoping to induce a loose call from button and keep sb in till the river.

I thought that there was a good chance that the button would bet and then I could checkraise.

why? Button could easily not have an ace and sb's 3bet and flop-check is scary.

Cap preflop. Bet the flop. Why did you think the villian would bet the flop after being three bet?

Preflop you very likely have the best hand. Perfect time to punish button by making him pay 2 more to see the flop with his stealraise-(ie possibly crap)hand. Nice flop for you so bet or raise if SB bets.

Anyway the way you played it I call down from the turn checkraise. Too good to fold even though when you get checkraised by this fairly passive player he probably has you beat...

1. I think there is good value to capping preflop against a button who will steal light, and a SB who will isolate light.

2. I'd bet this flop 100% of the time. You should not be looking to checkraise this flop.

3. I would call down against all but the most passive opponents.

Just reiterating... cap preflop, bet the flop.

On the turn, it sure looks like he was slowplaying a monster, and I am guessing you are probably behind. That said, he could potentially have something worse, so I call down, but expect to lose. I would have just called the turn, hoping he got scared of the A, and is now betting his high PP. Then I probably raise the river.

Thanks for all of the help everyone. Looking back i agree that I should have capped preflop and just lead and it would have made this hand a lot easier to play.

Anyway, I called villian down and he showed AA
