the one thing I learned from adam corolla

you can save energy by pressing 22 instead of 20, or 33 instead of 30, or 44 instead of 40, etc. when using the microwave.

The calories you saved by not having to move your finger as far is far more than equally expended by the additional power consumed by the additional seconds of operation.

My microwave has a 10 minute button, 1 minute, 10 second and 1 second. So your suggestion is useless to me. I felt the need to burn internet space telling you so.
