i banned him a while back for terrible posts followed by a post detailing having to sit next to a transvestite which ended with a question like 'have you ever had to sit next to a freaky, filthy, or non-desirable person?'

it's clear that i banned him by the user notes, but he was unbanned without consulting me when he apparently began a pm campaign toward moderators (he 'copied' me on the one he sent mat).

this guy is still making crappy and borderline racist/troll posts which are getting locked. he's recently begun harassing me via pms because he's seeing threads in oot which he considers to be similar to the ones he posted. obviously i have not initiated any contact with him, nor have i taken any moderator action on any posts he's made since he was unbanned (he hasn't been as present in oot).

tons of people independently flamed him for making a crappy poll. it wasn't organized or directed by me.

i'm sick of this guy and i think he does more harm than good with his posts. i hope that i don't have to make more posts justifying bans because they were unilaterally reversed by another moderator. if you disagree with my decisions, contact me. i'll respect yours in the same way.

Like I said in OOT- this is the kind of troll we need to be better at banning. They don't run around swearing and pasting pictures of porn, but all they do is serve to annoy people and attempt to gather attention.

Jeez dude, don't mince words. I don't think it was borderline anything -- it was f-ing racist. I'm slow to ban most of the time, but this jerk need be banned, unbanned, then banned again on sheer principle. I think we should go after racists like we do spammers. In other words, I support you 1000%.

appreciate the support, but this quote is the primary reason i made the post and it seems that it might have been misinterpreted as a generic 'why he is banned' thing.

the intended point was that moderators shouldn't be silently reversing each others' decisions. the reasoning was provided to illustrate the fact that i don't ban lightly.

Well, I put Istewart on that list first. He is pretty blatantly racist and anti-semitic. I am almost certain that most would have been banned for the crap he says.

istewart could technically be considered a troll, but I almost have to respect the way he's smart and funny about it. He riles people up, but only the dumb/defensive ones.
