just read that one of a kind book.

The guy was no angel or role model, but gosh he knew how to play cards and people to his advantage.

One line of his i liked, was when he was playing hi limit stud, and had to go to the washroom. Instead of missing the action, he told a railbird (who at the time happened to be a broke Mike Sexton), to play a couple of hands for him until he got back.

First hand Stu's gone a huge multiway action pot gets going, with mike holding the nuts and jamming it. In the end he wins a mega pot in the thousands. Stu comes back, see's it and tells his opponents:

'You guys are so aweful i can even beat you when i'm in the Sh.. house"

All i know is if i were in that game i'd be playing the rest of the session to get back at him for that insult, and in the end he'd probably make me pay for that too...

Arrogance is fine when you can bacak it up like stu, pretty good line too. Oh, and playing because you want to beat someone specific out of a big pot is a losing mentalit.y

I thought that line was more funny than arrogant.

The really funny thing about that hand is that Mike started with 3 to a str8 flush draw and the 3 other people in the pot, jamming the pot, all started with rolled up trips, but failed to improve.

It may have been the most important hand of Mike Sexton's life.

When I read that book I really hated that guy sometimes. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I mean why in god's holy name didn't he just play cards and kept the fortunes that he won? Why did he blow it all away with these sport bets?
