I play probably the same in the heat of the moment.

But maybe it's better to check the turn. Your opponent might have a flush draw or might be as scared as you of the flush draw. If he doesn't have a flush draw and you go all-in he lays it down only if he neither have a legitimate (high card Jack and up) flush draw nor a Jack or a better pair. A better pair would have raised you first place on the turn. A Jack with a good kicker would also have raised you on the turn (err, reraised you on the flop). A Jack with a bad kicker would not have called your pf raise. AK would have raised you befor flop.

The only hand that with some legitimacy would have called pf and the flop and now would lie down your turn all-in is 99 or an 8 without a higher flush card. These are not the hands you fear.

I don't like it. You're taking away your positional advantage by playing so fast. Why bet the pot on the flop? just bet a little over half on the flop and a little over half on the turn. If you don't like what you see on the river you can check it down.

I put him on a flush draw, he had a flush draw, and he called.
He also had an overcard (Ax with x of spades(A4 so he also had a gutshot)).

Maybe my flop bet was a little big. I usually bet 1/2 - 3/4 of the pot. Dangerous board I guess. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think a smaller flop bet would be "standard" but you played it fine IMO.

Donk,

"After 16 hands SB has a 50% VPIP and has raised 12%. "

You got that stat real time during the tourny? if so, what program do you use?
