playing relatively tight to the stinkers in my 20-40 7 handed game, i call 2 chips in the small blind w/ Jd9d after two limpers. the big blind doesnt raise.

the flop is Tc9h4h. i bet and the bb, an older man i dont know, raises. all fold back to us, and i call.

the turn is As. i bet and get the fold.

I think if you're going to call a turn bet anyway, it's worth taking a stab when the scarecard falls. This shows there can be small benifits to being out of position sometimes. Nice play.

Hell Mike - this isn't even tricky. Tricky would be getting called by A4 and then spiking a 9 on the river and getting in a check-raise /forums/images/icons/smile.gif .

mike,

one of the other great things about this turn bet is that against typical "older man" type opponents IF you get raised you can lay down the hand and not lose any sleep.
