View Full Version : playing different styles on different streets...

I've been playing poker for about 3 years now and I've played most a TAG/weak tight game. In my early experiences with nlh cash games i played mostly weak/tight and found some success along with other times when feeling completely run over. However, as I have improved my game and logged long hours and countless hands, I think i've come to the conclusion that I am very TAG preflop/flop and lean more towards weak/tight on turn/river play. By this I mean my pfr and vpip stats are those of a normal TAG and I will be fairly agressive in most situations preflop and on the flop. However, I find myself check/calling and checking behind on a lot of turns and just calling/making solid value bets on a lot of rivers. I think this style has begun to work very well for me and I will continue to play this way as long as my results remain consistent.
I was just wondering what some of you other players thought about a mix of playing styles incorporated into one's game. Thanks for your thoughts
