This is a response to some people saying that following a thread in flat mode is difficult. Here's a tip people may not be aware of.
In the subject line of a post in a thread you will see the name of the poster being replied to. For example, if somebody replies to this post you will see:
Re: following in flat mode [Re: JaredL]
If you click on the username it will open a new window with the post being replied to. This is quite helpful in long threads when people don't quote the replied to thread.
