View Full Version : bad call down?

Too few hands for any real reads; villain seemed to be pushing tbl around and not showing down much; he bet down an over HU; FWIW had 65-ish vpip after ~20 hands.

Should I suspect something other than 8/9-big here, w/him figuring flop was a dud for pfr? (I see a ton of [censored] moves w/suited cards so thought maybe even that) Anyone not 3-bet/call down?

Looks good to me. I put him on an overcard with either a 4 or a 9.

I think you want one more BB in this pot. Raise either turn or river.

Thanks all for the help.

Everybody probably can guess I lost this (94o) but I posted because I think I have a longtime leak being too aggressive too often on turn HU w/top pair; I have a talent for misinterpreting c-r and thought maybe I missed a clue here others would point out.

This is a pretty typical situation where I'd normally raise turn or river but thought "here's a chance to not be the old me; call, don't raise". But the replies make me think this wasn't the time for the "new" me, I guess I was wrong (again). Damn...

We may not be able to if the flush or an A hits.
