Dinesh D'Souza's "What's So Great About America?" is outstanding. Chapters include "America's Enemies: Why They Hate Us," "The Reparations Fallacy" and more. D'Souza was a policy advisor to Reagan, and he is absolutely brilliant and rational. He is originally from India, and has both an American perspective, and that of one living in the aftermath of colonialism in his native country. The book serves as the blueprint for what he calls a "rational patriotism" as opposed to the emotional flag-waving that flared then dwindled after 9-11. I heard him on the radio and tried the book; I imagine some of you will be more familiar with him than I was. I'm planning on picking up some of his other stuff.
