Unless you can be certain he would never bet the river with a worse hand I would play this exactly the same way.

hard to tell with just "opp is 36/14/1.1" about villain. if he calls down with any piece, value bet with the nines like you did. if he bets a lot of hands i like check/calling the last two streets for extraction.

You're never folding a better hand on the river.
I check\call.

basically you're hoping on the river he either has a 7 or pocket 8s/5s. i think i'd check/call as people are more likely to cc with any Ace.

but basically i'm spending the same as you anyways and not folding /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You're not folding a better hand, but this is a value bet if the player would raise top pair and would call with a weak piece.

That being said, if you're a preflop raiser, and an ace falls, people generally will give you credit for the ace unless they are really passive. I think you get shown a weak ace here most of the time. I think check-calling the river would not be terrible.

yep seems you make more money with a passive river line here, unless you think he will call with a lower PP but not bet it

By checking and calling this river you let him bet his hands with an Ace and check behind the ones without.

Dunno, the river is really opponent-dependent and stats don't really tell you if he'll take a stab with missed diamonds or a straight draw.
