The Borgata Poker Room opens tonight in AC. Feedback on the room and how it compares to the Taj (comps, games, dealers, etc.) would be appreciated.

I know the new room manager there, Stan. Using only that info, the room will be a real bust and never compete with the Taj.

They are having a WPT event later this year. My friend Jimmy Sommerfield is running it and he knows what he's doing. So if you go, that would be the time.

About 30 tables. Real nice room. Great comfortable chairs.

They had 2-4, 3-6, 6-12 and 10-20. They also had 20-40. They were trying to get 15-30 going. I recognized one of the floor managers, Tom, used to deal at the Taj.

Comps are $2/hour at 10-20. Deli right next to the room, which is good, bathroom is in a good location also. The whole thing is connected to the racebook.

Only drawback is the room is at the back of the casino and downstairs, where nothing else is, so you don't get the walk-by traffic like you do at the Taj.

They're hosting a WPT event in September.
