I tried to be geographically correct here, since I live in LA there is no whitecastle but there is no In N Out on the east coast so this will be somewhat skewed.

I did forget one of my favs, DEL TACO /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Though it wouldn't be my vote, you left out Arby's, which clearly should be here.

But yeah, there's an "other" option, so no real reason to complain.

I pulled into Del Taco for the first time the other day. I looked long and hard up and down the menu board and then for my first time ever, I put the car in reverse and backed out of the drive thru.

I used to eat Mickey D's at least every other day untill I watched "Super Size Me" in one of classes my junior year in school. If you haven't seen it, It will give you such a different outlook at Fast Food, especially Mickey D's.

In and Out all the way. But, Taco Bell is also incredibly delicious and in this awful state where I go to school (Indiana) TB is what I ahve to settle for since there is no In and Out.

Chipotle is also delicious. I spent a semester in DC and lived on that [censored]. That's the Mexican side of me coming out /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Chipotle, Taco John, Jimmy John's, Culvers, and Long John Silver's top the stuff on your list that I've tried. I don't know from In and Out.

From what you've listed, I'll pick Wendy's. I used to like Hardee's 20 years ago. I don't think I've had it since they've become Carl's.

Point of clarification. Hardee's and Carl's are the same company, but different resturaunts. Hardeee's is just your average fast food burger joint, while Carl's is awesome because of one thing: The Western Bacon Cheeseburger.... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

And another thing they don't have in Indiana... *sigh*

I've only been to one single Popeyes ever, but it was so good that if the others are anything like that place, I gotta give Popeye's high marks. For chicken, at least. The pieces I got were huge; it's like KFC but much much better, and twice the volume of chicken for the price, easy.

I find the quality of Popeyes to depend on the specific branch. They must use different quality chicken, because there are some locations that I won't eat at, and there are some places that give huge high quality pieces of meat. I've never experienced this with a different fast food chain to the degree of reliability that I've seen w/ popeyes.

Bell, with White Castle a close second. I say bring back the Chili Cheese Burrito and the Rancho Steak Burrito.

Regarding Chipotle, there's no way that counts as fast food. There's no drive thru, and (at least around the UMN campus) most peak hours = 15+ minute wait.

When I lived in Atlanta, there were people who considered Popeye's the best chicken in the city. If you can get that rating in the South...

It's all premade stuff they throw in a shell. If that isn't fast food i don't know what is. Your wait time is only because of long lines.

Maybe if your loc wasn't "Los Angeles" you would realize that there is a delicious chipotle that just opened in Champaign and that this was a glaring omission in the poll.
