No reads at all. Was new at the table. Should I bet the river or is a check/call good enough here? If I get raised I cant see myself winning the hand so with a check/call I only lose 1 bet and its a pretty huge pot.

I really want to say "bet the river," but with 3 other players, I don't think I can. nh.

Are you calling if it's one back to you? If so, doesn't that warrant a bet/fold? (I'm not advocating for bet/fold, just asking...I hate bet/fold.)

Looked through all streets and think you played all perfectly up until the river. This river is a tough one, but since all of the 3 players are unlikely to have a king given the flop action and they all seem interested to go to showdown (except maybe one player with a missed flush draw), I would bet this river. You can't fold though to a raise (the pot is so huge that the chance some dude tries to bluffraise, warrants a call), so it is a bet/call IMO.

I don't like bet/folding on a 4 broadway board in a pot this big b/c someone is going to be stupid and raise two pair often enough that I think we have to call. That being said, I also don't like bet/calling b/c I don't want two bets going in either. So I think you played it fine. I would call one bet but fold if two back to me here.

The results

UTG has 7h 6h (high card, ace).
Button has 2d Ah (one pair, aces).
SB has Ac 6c (one pair, aces).
Hero has Qs Qd (three of a kind, queens).
Outcome: Hero wins 20.50 BB. </font>

I'm value betting that river all day long, and tomorrow.

It would be a shame to see it get checked through when no Kings turns up. You'll be winning this pot more often than not, so I think it would be more profitable in the long run to bet here than not.

EDIT: And to answer the question pre-emptively, yes I am calling one back to me (but not 2). JT just made two pair on that river, plus numerous other "favorite" hands.

I bet/call the river. There isn't any particular resaon to suspect that anyone has a K and we (obviously) beat the myriad 2-pair possibilities.

My first instinct here is to bet out on the river, but I've also been playing too aggressively lately. I think a check in this situation is ok because AK is really the only hand you have to fear and the AK fits how the Button played exactly. I call any bets into me on the river w/ this hand and this size pot.

I think this could go either way. The pot is big enough that we will get called by worse hands here, but the threat of a raise or check-raise is pretty high. Against two opponents or fewer I'm value-betting, but against three opponents it's a tough play.

I think this is a WA/WB and check/call on the river is fine.

bet/fold isn't a bad option from the standpoint that it's a pretty easy fold. However, I like check/call because it may get a two pair to bet the river.

I bet the river and expect to win fairly frequently. When you check/call you will not win nearly as frequently. Nobody is bluffing a missed flushed draw in a 4-way pot. What am I missing?

hard to believe that no one in the hand at the river had a King!

checking is okay, don't punish yourself /images/graemlins/smile.gif
