without a read. I fold preflop.

on the flop you're only beating QQ.

You've got position so a call is certainly in order PF.

On the flop, your opponent is short-stack so you can move him all-in now or wait until he does it himself. I usually elect to simply get it in on the flop when he's short.

In smaller stakes games I've seen 88-JJ re-raise and possibly worse hands. Bear in mind he's shortstack and so his range of hands is going to be much wider.

he has like 90bbs, not that short.

I've actually found reraise range to be wider the higher up you move.

it seems players are actually tighter with their preflop reraises at lower stakes but your mileage might vary.

I still don't know if I should have folded it at one point or not.
If someone else could give his/her opinion it would be nice.
Thank you !

That amoeba and maulik disagree tells you how close this hand is. You probably aren't going to get a definitive answer.

I think reads/pt stats are critical here. If this guy is LAG then you should not be pushed out here. If he is at all careful, then a pf fold seems reasonable as you are crushed by everything but QQ.

The really annoying thing is that it wouldn't be that uncommon for him to be holding AK. Which makes you push-raising the flop a really strong move, so he can be the one to incorrectly fold. Woops, it looks like half of his chips are already in, so maybe very little FE for AK

I've only played around 10 hours on Party and had no stats on him when I sat down at this table.
I'm always LESS reluctant to call a reraise coming from the blinds when I raise from LP because he probably knows my raising hands range is wider from LP but maybe I'm mistaken.
Thank you !
PS: FE = fold expectation ?

Doesn't that mean that his raising standards are more liberal, therefore your calling/reraising standards are more liberal? Isn't this why you so often see the blinds go to war and turn over AJ or other crap?

FE = fold expectation. yes

Are you using poker tracker? It is essential and legal.

Sorry about that, I'm not a native speaker, I meant LESS reluctant of course...
And yes I am using Pocker Tracker and Pocker ace hud but as I said I'm not playing there for a long time and had no stats on him.

Gottcha..

I also recommend MTH by Orcadk, if you are multi-tabling. It is outstanding (search MTH in software forum).

cheers. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thank for the advice.
And for the hand, my opponent actually held the dreaded Aces...

Your hand looks fine to me. You raised on the button with a premium hand. Than BB re-raised you. In the battle of the blinds he has a wide range of hands he would reraise you with. When you hit the flop, there is a ton of hands he would lead out with. I would have just pushed the flop because by calling there is no way your folding the turn. Your hand looks standard to me....
