I posted this on another forum awhile back, and everyone said it was absolute garbage. I strongly disagree. Thoughts?

Obviously, this hand is somewhat because your gap is one below the top of your straight draw, but "absolute garbage"? No way. This is a very good drawing hand. It's not a premium hand, but it's not that far away. It will win more pots on the river than any rainbow 4 straight or a ragged AAxx. In fact it's almost as good as AAxx single suited against more than one opponent.

I'd call with it against a single raise almost everytime, in any position.

I would have played it exactly the same, as to the starting hand being garbage i disagree. It certinaly falls within the 40% of hands i play preflop.

This is a fine hand.

I agree with my fellow 2+2ers and must disagree vehemently with the other weak-tight fish in whatever donkland you previously posted this topic in:

Even with mediocre position, A suited ace with 3 running cards or a one gapper is a very good hand to play pre-flop when you're in a multi-way scenario against the LP players that typically populate a microlimit PLO table. This piece of advice comes with the obvious caveat that you're getting reasonably good implied odds to make money if things go way your way post-flop. (This fact does not change, regardless of whether or not the pot is raised.)

In other words, if you intend to play this hand, just make sure that you're not committing too much of your stack pre-flop and that your opponents are not committing too much of their stack.

Whoever stated this hand is garbage is probably a weak tight player.

As for the Villain, I'm not sure he could have played his hand any worse, besides his preflop play it was pretty atrocious.

I'm playing this hand. I don't know why anyone would say this is total garbage though. Sure it's not great (there is no great hand in omaha because the flop is almost always bad/dangerous lol)

This is a TheRempel brand premium hand. I play it without question 95% of the time.
