villain is 50.63/1.72/0.78 after 90 hands. this is the 3rd time i've open raised with him in the BB, he's called then donked the flop and kept betting/raising every time, and i haven't seen a showdown yet. too thin or what?

I like it. This type of player wont fold a pair unless you shoot him and take his cards and muck them yourself. I also think we've got an easy fold to a 3bet.

Sometimes I raise the turn though, it depends on what I want to accomplish.

seems good, obv. if he 3 bets fold. i would give him something like 8T, 8Qs.

I don't like it. I would raise the turn but if I didn't do that I would just call the river. What is he calling a river raise with that you beat?

I think this is a good way to deal with opponents like this. Easy fold to a three bet IMO unless this guy is a total wack job.

8x, 3x, maybe a PP, who knows.... the guy is bad.

i waited till the river because i wanted to let him fire one more bullet if he didn't have a hand, and i felt much safer folding to a river 3-bet than a turn one.

i raise the turn here and call down a 3bet here. against most people i muck the flop but im not sure. your line is fine too, but on such a drawless flop theres no reason to wait till the river

This is perfect in my opinion. I think taking lines like this is the perfect counter to a chronic donk bettor.

i think the river goes check-bet-call too much to give up on the immediate value in raising the turn. if hes bluffing he might not bluff the river again anyway.

I'm with the "raise the turn" crew. You'll still get called down by any 8, 3 or PP. On top of that, you get the value in from any air hands that turned a draw (i.e. TJ, QJ, QT, 2 clubs) that might just c/f on the river. If this guy's a chronic donker, those hands aren't beyond the realm of possiblity.

Agreed with raising the turn (if anywhere at all). A lot of low PFA opponents do a: "I flopped middle pair, he probably has nothing so I bet. He called, so I bet again. He called twice. Maybe he has the K, which would be scary, so I'd better check now."

this guy doesn't seem to slow down at all, so i think i like my river raise. he's seen me fold to his river bet two times out of two attempts already... i just can't see him not firing the third barrel.
