$10-20 full table

UTG 13/4/1.7 $2.5k limps, 1 more limper, I(cover table) raise to $95 w/ QQ, UTG calls, other guy folds.

flop ($240) 8hTc6d check, I bet $150, UTG CR to $350, I call.

Turn ($940) 5s UTG bets $375, I raise to $750, UTG pushes, I fold.

Only read is that this is most likely a PP and I almost never min-raise.

pretty sure i prefer a flop raise or a cold call on the turn

care to comment on why you tried this line? what you were trying to accomplish?

I raise more preflop, I'd probably call turn or fold flop?

a flop 3 bet would be terrible
call behind turn, re-eval river

It was more of a freeze bet and since he hadn't seen me min-raise like that, I thought he wouldn't push w/out a better hand than I had. Hmmm, don't know about a 3bet there on the flop... Calling the turn was for sure an option.

So your miniraise on the turn was just to gain information? Since you folded after he pushed were you just seeing if he pushed so you could fold and then not have to call off the rest of your stack?

Also, what happens if villian just calls. Then what is your plan for the river. If he checks do you check behind? What if he leads out on river?

I'd be really worried against a rock here. You are behind on flop for sure.

yeah, at the time I was thinking a half info / half value bet. If he calls, I for sure check behind on the river and hope to see JJ.

I think the correct play here was to fold the flop aganist this guy. I'm in too marginal a spot there against a tight non-aggro player.

Hey Jeff,

You've come a long way in a short time, dude; I doubt you play bad.

This looks a lot like a set; I'm inclined to call the flop and fold the turn unimproved against a non-tricky player. As you noted, JJ is the only non-bluff you beat, and this would be a weird spot for a guy with those stats (or almost anyone) to bluff.

Once he goes allin on the turn you're clearly beat.

I guess it was the small size of his turn bet that inspired you to raise?

villain is a rock. bet more (~200+ish) on flop. fold/call his check raise depending on how you feel. fold turn.

i just dont see how you know youre beat by the flop check raise

i hate the spot as much as you did im sure, i like a flop three bet because that for sure lets you get away for the minimum aside from folding to the check raise

calling down on the turn and river can get sick, outdraws and being overcharged and tied to the pot, its just bad, eh?

as you played the flop i guess just fold the turn? yuck though i hate lay downs like this

I think 3'ing the flop is probably the easiest way to get away from this hand.
I would 3 this to about 800 or so and then be done with it.

Without looking at other responses, he seems to have set mining stats. I consider simply folding to his flop check-raise.
