I'm a relative SH newbie, so be nice /images/graemlins/wink.gif. Comments on my thought process/play are appreciated.

That said, I would appreciate comments on this flopped set. It is a drawless board, so I believe this is a good situation for a slowplay. There is lots of profit to be made from the 2 callers behind me as well.
The 5 on the turn makes my hand stronger, but a raise would probably drive out the jacks or worse 8's my opponents are playing.
Finally, the river 5 could be a bad card, but it probably makes the jacks think they are chopping, so I raise and hope for the best.

raise the turn and hope u get three bet by a 5.

I was thinking the value of 2 calls behind from jacks would be more profitable than a raise to kick the jacks out. Also, the 5 will be raising here anyway, so I could 3 bet after it comes back to me if the 5 is out. If the 5 is not out, I will force out worse hands. Does this seem like correct thinking to you guys?

if the 5 is out it will usually 3-bet, and you can cap. if you call/3-bet, there's no way this is going 4 bets on the turn unless these players are retarded (possible).

also, most players will not fold jacks here for two anyway.

CO just CC PF. Raise the flop and hope he does it again. Fast playing is goot in 6m.
