What's the best and cheapest way to learn NLHE (tourney or live, but online only) assuming familiarity with LHE.

could play fake chips a bit... but thats a joke... If you want, find a site with penny NLHE... Ultimate Bet has some... .01/.02 blind $2 max buy-in... i think PokerStars might have some as well

Also on UB you could play in one of the many UltimatePoints tourneys they offer. If you play a decent amount of limit and have a nice stash of points sitting around, these are a good way to get tourney experience while risking basically nothing. The UlitimatePoints Sit-n-Gos are excellent for this although you sometimes will have to wait a while for them to fill up.

Get a bankroll to support 2/4 then move down to play NL .5/1 that's what i'm doing now.

That is another point..

I actually did this..

had around 700 ultimate points, so I started playing the Sit and Goes... currently at 6,500 points...

the 100pters fill up fast nowadays... and usually have a table waiting to play...
