when the 2+2 cookie expires and i am forced to log in again, i don't see any messages marked as new since my last login. is there any way to remedy this behavior?

Annoying is right.

I'm not sure exactly how it all works now, but the sometimes lack of indication of new posts, and/or the already read posts wrongly showing up as new at times, is a pain and a half.
