They'll be copies, but probably ok ones. The 'will work on NTSC players' give it away, usually indicates region 0, which is usual for copies/pirated (arr!) stuff.

The lack of paypal would concern me, but the feedback looks like this guy delivers okay.

i was trying to decide if they were copies or not. it seems too cheap even if it is one of the lower quality DVD formats.

my roommate either got this exact edition or a similar edition. I think it's pirated, but quality is excellent (just like DVD). It looks like total price is $45 right now. My roommate paid around $22 for the whole thing (shipping and cost). BTW these are some damn excellent movies. You'll have to buy The Killing (1956) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049406/) on its own though, a must-have if you already have these Kubrick's.

Yeah, I definitely recommend getting the set, but not the pirated set. That's not cool.
