Hey, I don't know if this is the right forum to post this in, but at my last home game, one of the players posed this question and I couldn't come up with more than a rough estimate.
In our tournament structure, how often would a top tournament pro (I'm talking Ivey, Juanda, etc) be able to make the money? How often would they be able to win? I don't have enough of a tourney sample in this home game to have real answers, so I was just using the 41% in the money I have in the Party SNGs as a benchmark.
Our home tourneys are usually 10 players. $100 buy in. Pay out top 3. The blind structure is as follows: $100 in chips. Blinds go up every 20 minutes and start at:
.25/.50
.5/1
.75/1.50
1/2
1.5/3
2/4
2.5/5
3/6
4/8
5/10
6/12
7/14
8/16
9/18
10/20 (capped)
I'd say that of everyone in our player pool, there are 2 real good tight aggressive players who know how to mix it up. Then there are 2 tight passives. One real good LAG. Everyone else is a donk LAG.
Anyone have a guess as to what the max. attainable is?
