full ring 5/10
Hero is MP with A/images/graemlins/spade.gifK/images/graemlins/club.gif

Preflop
3 limpers to hero, who makes it 70, and gets 4 callers (nice)

Flop (280)
A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif4/images/graemlins/heart.gif3/images/graemlins/club.gif
SB leads for 125, folded to hero, who just calls

Turn (550)
K/images/graemlins/spade.gif
SB leads for 125 again, hero just calls

River (massive)
8/images/graemlins/heart.gif
SB pushes for 500, hero calls

Anywhere to get off the merry-go-round here ?

Not that I see - I'd probably push the turn.

Why should hero raise flop here? Looks wa/wb to me. If he raises flop he lets weaker aces off the hook. Just let the guy keep betting into you. I guess you could tell hero to raise turn, but might as well let villain keep betting at you, dont let him get away from worse hands, and he certainly isnt getting away from better ones.

Predictably, villain had 44.

I think raising the flop is not good. There are no draws, so its WA/WB. A case could be made for raising the turn, but nothing has changed, except we have just taken the lead over A4/A3, and we are now safe against a rivered 2-pair. We are still behind a set, but now we have outs.

I wonder if I can consider a river fold. I think my hand is REALLY obvious, and a villain continuing to charge into me, MUST have me beat. Alas, I am not a good enough player to find a fold in this spot.

Why does this stuff always happen when I make a big raise preflop ... and get FOUR callers. FOUR.

I think the problem is usually the opposite - villain is most often not good enough for you to find a fold.

Really? This is an obvious top 2 pair line? Hmm.

Why would you want to avoid top 2 pair?
