Raise the river to $18. If he has a boat you will see the all-in 3-bet and you safely fold. I think you see other second best hads here like AT, KT, QT.

I agree that you need to raise this river, but what about the rest of the hand? I think I would have folded this on the flop.

I would raise preflop, and raise flop. The rest looks good

Please elaborate on why you would raise this flop. You have an underpair+low end of a three card straight with two flush cards on board in a raised pot, not to mention you are OOP.

I advocated a fold, please tell me why I am wrong?

(Not being a dick, just trying to learn.)

Raise preflop in mid position with 88? Aren't mid range PP's only raisable in tournament play and not cash games? How much would I raise then...4 x BB? What if there is a limper or two..still raise? What if I face a r/r...call looking for set value?

I don't play 10max so I dunno if it's correct to raise 88 preflop, but I do it 90% of the time on 6max.

Raise flop because he's betting 1$ into 4$pot, and you have pair+oesd

Preflop's fine...I like raising the flop as well, but it just suits my style. I rarely let ppl bet 1/4 of the pot, especially when I have a piece of the board and good position.

I guess standard is 3-4x and if you have callers add 1BB per caller.

If reraised, it depends on how tight or loose the player is and how big the reraise is.

I agree with the re-raise preflop. How can you know whether you have the best hand at this point or not. Especially since a lot of people at the 25 nl tables will raise or call with something in the AT range.
