Not posted in Sporting Events because it doesn't concern a particular event. Mods, by all means move it if necessary.

There was somthing in one of the papers about this the other day as some people were saying that it isnt real, but he has said he does this as part of his end of training routine.

I suspect like most things the truth lies in the middle somewhere.

It looks like the net has some sort of practice bounce back net thing in the middle. Still impressive, but I hate Ronaldinho, he is no where near as good as Mr Woo.

Amazing Mr Woo video (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/mrwoo.html)

The drunken Scotsmen love him.

I'd say it's more real than this:

Mike Vick (http://www.mknx.com/v/powerade.wmv)

And less real than this:

Tiger (http://www.etechs.net/07%20Nike%20Commercial%20-%20Tiger%20Woods%20Ball%20Trick.mpg)

Also, is there an uglier professional athlete than Ronaldinho?

He has a basketball style board behind the goal, still extraordinary (if real).

I was skeptical, but I agree that the Mr. Woo video destroys the Ronaldinho video. The problem is that the ball bouncing back to him in the Ronaldinho video looks so incredibly faked, and given that it's a Nike commercial, it's very plausible that they did fake it. Mr. Woo looks all natural.

It can't be real. Even if he could hit the crossbar (3 times in a row!) there is no way that he could get it to bounce back that perfectly.

It has to be real, just like the lebron james video of him hitting full court shots with ease in the PowerAde commercial.

Is it that inconceivable that they did more than one take of Ronaldinho?

Jeez, people have no idea how filmmaking works, especially expensive Nike commercials. They spend all day on the set. Between takes, Ronaldinho puts the black shoes back on and sits down. Camera? Speed. Sound? Speed. Action. And they bring in the Nikes. And he puts them on and dribbles the ball, and tries to hit the crossbar three times in a row and get it to bounce back.

On the 9th take, he finally does it, and they use that in the commercial. It's real. He just can't do it every time.

Never...Hitting the crossbar which the trajectory that he hit the ball would not result in the abll bouncing back the way it does in the video. Its very very fake. and I hate barca

Well, here in America (where we play real football, not 'footie') we had a superstar with a Nike commerical where he threw a football(American) 200 yards+. I wonder how many takes that took?

More nuts than someone who calls a game in which you predominately hold, throw and catch a ball "real football"?

I dont think so, and neither does our panel of experts.
