I'm in bb with something like Q8. Sb either limps or raises, and I call or check.
Flop is Q84, perhaps 2 suits.
Sb bets. Recently, I have been catching myself just calling here, planning to raise the turn. And sometimes I also just call the turn, planning to raise the river.
Usually, if I just call the flop, the sb will fire another bet on the turn. So I think flat-calling the flop tends to be ok, provided the flop is not too drawy. But does it make much difference whether I raise the turn or call, planning to raise the river? Often, sb ends up just c/f the river, but in those circumstances, isn't it fair to assume he wouldn't have called the turn raise anyway?
