I think a raise on the turn if not the river is a good idea.

also, i fold the flop or decide to calldown all the way, (assuming a non A/non K/non diamond hits)

i think you can fold the flop but after hitting on the turn, you should raise it. Don't wait for the river here. The ace is going to prevent him from bluffing the river so get his money in on the turn.

I also like the turn raise. I can't give him much credit for the flush HU and if he has a lone diamond then you will likely get more value in raising the turn rather than waiting for the river.

For those who like a turn raise (as do I), what is the plan if we get 3 bet on the turn?

great question... My turn aggression is WAY too high (>3) so i have been trying to merely call down more.

delay the inevitable until about 1 sec left on the clock then muck. Wonder if you mucked the best hand. start to get up from your tables and post it on 2+2. watch TV for 15 minutes. come back and see what we say.

if i did those things everytime i made difficult fold or reluctant call down, I'd have more money and more confidence than i have now.

I really think this is a pretty complicated one although my gut says fold also. If he has a hand like QdJx you still have 9 outs to catch up getting 7.5:1. There is also a small chance you are ahead of a hand like Adx. Of course you could be drawing dead vs a set or made flush. I think calling the 3 bet and folding to the river UI is an option as long as you are disciplined enough to do it. In other words, don't do what I always do and pay off because it is "only one more bet in a big pot".

basically, if you call a CR on that flop, make an A, then never raise... you are a str8 up fish.
