Any read? Obviously you are betting. He isn't check raising the flop with a 9. With an ace on the turn he bets out or raises. I bet/call or bet/raise.

Hard to say without reads. Obviously if the villian will bet more than he will call, the check/call looks good. However I think against most opponents a bet here is more correct.

well we're in position. he has already checked to us. i do agree this is a value bet. i expect him to hold an 8 the vast majority of the time he calls our bet.

I'd bet/call.

I suck at river value betting. I checked behind and was shown a pair of 5s. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Agreed. I'd expect him to either fold or show a low pp or an 8. I think you'd have heard from him on the turn with an ace or a 9.

I agree the river is a straightforward bet/call. But I disagree with the above. I checkraise trips all the time. Why do you think he isn't checkraising the flop with a 9?

Why 3-bet the flop? Wouldn't that just push him off a weak hand that you have crushed?

I 3-bet so he'll think twice about checkraising me next time. Also if he has Ax he'll often peel the turn too just because the board is paired.
