Does this monitor look any good. I'm cheap and would like to 4 table. Also- how do I figure out if my video card would support it? I have a Dell3000 desk top less than a year old. Thanks

monitor is fine. I checked the specs (http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/59119/specs.htm), the one you're concerned about is in the chart at the bottom. Not only must your display support 1600x1200, it must do so at a decent refresh rate. This model will do 75hz at that resolution. That's "good enough"... it's not top of the line performance but it's not an unhealthy 60hz either.

If the one site where I checked your computer model is correct, the 3000 does NOT have enough video memory (VRAM) to run 1600x1200... you need a minimum of 4MB and the 3000 is listed as having 1MB. I would not expect to find an AGP slot in this level of machine, you will need a PCI (not PCI-E) video card with at least 4MB of memory. I would choose something by nvidia with 16MB minimum. This should run about $30. You have to open the computer to install it.

edit: BTW, I saw 19in 1600x1200 hitachi's going for $100 including shipping in the USA on PriceWatch (http://www.pricewatch.com) last week. I love me a hitachi monitor. If they are still there you may be able to either pick one up or leverage the price against this ebay seller.
