I'm really not sure about this one.

Anything less than a push is asking big stack to take my chips. But a push puts me at risk of going home empty handed if big stack wakes up with a hand when I'm only a 60/40 favorite over SB. Are the free 600 chips from the SB and the FE I have enough to make this a push (it's obviously a push if button and my table/chip positions are reversed, correct)?

Easy (well kinda complicated as you said but still pretty clear to me after thinking) push. One compelling reason is that shortie is allin. Even if biggie wakes up with AKs that's not so bad as long this 1 scenario out of 6 possible doesn't happen: Shortie > Biggie > Hero.
