I don't see any other way to play this unless you have a read that button will bet 90% of the time if checked to so you can checkraise.

On my better days I check-raise the flop and get someone to fold a gutshot that would have hit /images/graemlins/wink.gif Your line is good too though.

Also, once it gets to HU on the turn you might be able to sneak in a check-raise if you think he is betting any pair against your "draw".
