Read: BB seems selective aggressive, could be 3 betting light, but has been picking his spots…

Preflop: Hero is CO with J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

Flop: (6.50 SB) K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 2/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.


I used to never do this. I would usually raise the flop or at times wait until the turn to pop my opponent. Was this the wrong time to “rope-a-dope” given the following?

1) SAG opponent
2) His pf 3-bet from the BB
3) Board texture – Club and straight draw

Calling down seems fine to me.

I think calling and betting if checked to is an ok line.

Calling down is probably the best line here.

River is 3 of clubs bringing in the flush...

He checks, I bet... he raises...

I'm thinking "man a call is weak here getting only 7:1 but then again, my line makes my river bet look like a river bluff to a thinking player" - Is this a good example of my most frustrating leak as of late... Paying off too much?

If hes unknown of capable of bluffing, call it.
