PP NL $400
Hero: $1500
Villian: $400 (VP$IP: 45%, Post-flop AF: 2)

Hero is dealt 88 in the SB. Folds to me. I raised to $16. BB calls the $12.

Flop QQ8.
Hero checks.
Villian bets 15.
Hero min-raises to 30.
Villain reraises to 75.
Hero pushes.

Suggestions?

I think betting the flop sets you up to stack a queen. The way you played it makes anything other than AQ a pretty easy fold.

Dont make a min riase on flop, make it like 60 to go or smoothcall. If after making it 60 he makes it 150 or something, a push makes more sense, or a smooth call and get allin on turn.

smooth call the $75 flop... makes it look like you have given up and/or are looking for your Ace, King, ect.. on turn...

check turn... watch him go all in... call (assuming the turn isn't a queen of course).

Calling on the flop and pushing on the turn would have been a better play. Thanks.
