Villain have been active in alot of hands since he got the chip lead. I figured that I would call this and make a nice little overbet on a non ace/king flop and push any non scary turn unless he puts me all in after the flop in which case I would have to re-think the whole situation. With his cold call on flop I am thinking ok, he don't have a made hand yet or maybe a hand like 77 or lower. The 4 comes and I push. Comments? Oh yea, I was thinking of a stop and go but the pot just wasnt big enough for that.

This is shaky in so many ways that I can't really give a full explanation. In brief:

- Rarely any reason to overbet the pot. 3/4 pot bet will accomplish the same thing.

- It often takes a stronger hand to call than to raise.

- If he's calling you when you way overbet the flop, he's calling your turn bet, with only 750 behind.

"- If he's calling you when you way overbet the flop, he's calling your turn bet, with only 750 behind."

Thats pretty much what I want. If he calls my flop bet he will call my turn bet with any draws and prolly a hand like 77 too. Since this is 10+1 I am thinking overbet or not, he will call it if he likes his hand and his chipstack makes me want to take advantage of the overbet even more here since I really think he don't have a bit of that flop. Perhaps a flush draw.

If he calls my overbet and call my push on the turn, i have a hard time seeing him call my 3/4 pot size bet and fold to my push on the turn.

Any logic in my thinking here?

He raised preflop... what range of hands do you put him on with his cold call on the flop?

I would have been pretty terrified by the flat call of an overbet flop after the preflop raise.

Ummm... you left out the part about how he might have you beat.

With his flat call I would say... either a flush draw (AKs, AQs or KQs) or just two overcards. I can't really see him flatcalling here with AA-QQ with the flush draw on the board. Lower pocket pairs are also a possibility. What range do you guys put him on?

Given the overbet, villan might not be putting Hero on a flush draw... which could justify a flat call from a monster.

Also, in the $11s, a lot of preflop reraisers with AK are ego slaves and can't possibly lay down their hand when they miss.
