i think read that in Skalansky's Tournament book. is there an easy formula for figuring out that stat?

Assuming it's heads up and the other person's hand is entirely random, the formula is www.pokerstove.com (http://www.pokerstove.com)

As LetYouDown suggested, there is no easy formula, but there is a good computer program that does it for you. In principle the calculation is simple, you just consider every possible set of 7 cards held by the other player and on the board; then count up how many times you win versus losing. But that would take a long time to do by hand.

Thanks! i just downloaded it. as for heads-up, it's easy to calculate. i tried doing four handed, but it would've taken probably about 10 minutes to get the results. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Change from Enumerate All to Monte Carlo. It doesn't take long to get that A4o wins about 27.2% against 3 random hands.
